We’ve been advised that AusAlert testing is occurring in our area on Thursday, 18 June at 2PM. To minimise disruption, student phones and smart devices should be switched off and stored securely in lockers or bags during the school day. Learn more about AusAlert for children and teens. Information is also available in other languages.
Keep our students safeThe Crossing Coordinator and I have seen many parents parking illegally when picking up their children from school. This creates a significant hazard for the Crossing Coordinator and our students as it decreases the visibility of the crossing. We understand that dropping off and picking up students can be tricky at HPS, but we ask you to slow down and follow the parking rules for the area. To protect our children from harm, taking a few minutes more to pick them up is worth every moment .Thanks for your understanding in this matter.
As we approach the final weeks of this term, there are several important events happening at our school. On Friday, June 19th, after 4pm, reports will be sent out to parents via Compass. Following this, we will be holding Student Learning Conferences. Parents will be able to book their conferences through COMPASS opening on Tuesday, June 16th. Please note that on Wednesday 24th June, students will be dismissed early at 2:30pm. We look forward to seeing you at the Learning Conferences and wrapping up the term on a positive note!
As winter sets in and the days grow shorter, it’s natural for students to feel tired and worn out as the end of term approaches. To help combat this, we’re encouraging all students to focus on using positive language and practicing the school’s STOP WALK TALK strategy during the last three weeks of school. By doing so, we hope to foster a supportive and uplifting environment that will help everyone finish the term on a high note. So, let’s all work together to make these last few weeks as positive and productive as possible!
