A Day in Primary

Grade 2 Procedural Writing

This term, our Grade 2 students have been developing their skills in procedural writing. They have been learning to clearly and creatively explain steps by writing recipes and simple experiments. From crafting the perfect cup of hot chocolate to assembling rainbow fruit kebabs, students have been practising how to sequence instructions, use action words, and include helpful details. They have also applied their skills to writing up a variety of science experiments. It’s been a fun and hands-on way to develop both writing and critical thinking!

Grade 3 to 6 Swimming Program

Our Middle Upper Primary students made a big splash during Weeks 4 and 5 of Term 2 as they participated in the swimming program! The children practiced a range of important swimming skills, from floating and kicking to improving their stroke technique. They also participated in a special Water Safety Day, where they learned how to stay safe in and around the water, reinforcing the critical importance of water awareness.
