Transformed Lives, Transformed College

One of the great joys of being part of Christway College this year is witnessing the many ways our theme for the year – Transformed, drawn from Romans 12:2 – is taking root in the lives of our students and shaping the life of our College.

Over the years, our Kingston Year 10 students have had the privilege of participating in the Youth Adventures mission trip with YWAM in Townsville, Yarrabah and Palm Island. This program, which has been running for well over a decade, continues to have a deep and lasting impact on those who take part – opening their eyes, stirring their hearts, and transforming their faith.

What makes this year particularly special is that for the first time, our Wyndham Year 10 students also embarked on their own YWAM journey. Their inaugural trip took place just last week, and what an incredible experience it has been! The stories coming back from the students speak of encounters with God, cross-cultural understanding, and personal growth. Whether through the inspiring YWAM base program or the powerful indigenous outreach ministry, it is clear that each student has been deeply impacted. We are thrilled to see the same transformational work that has been happening for years at Kingston now unfolding in the lives of our Wyndham students.

Another milestone in our “Transformed” journey has been the launch of our first Christway College Chapel Camp, held at the Phillip Island Adventure Resort at the end of last term. Spearheaded by our Head of Christian Life and Mission, Mr Mark Goode, this initiative provided an intentional space for students to encounter God, deepen their faith, and grow in community. We are so grateful for the tireless efforts of Mr Goode and his team in creating opportunities for students to be spiritually renewed and equipped for life.

It is an exciting and inspiring time to be part of Christway College. As we continue to seek God’s transforming work in our lives and in our school, I’m reminded that these moments – these trips, camps, conversations, and experiences – are more than just events. They are part of God’s bigger story of transformation in our students and our community.

Let’s continue to be open to the ways God is at work – transforming hearts, renewing minds, and shaping a generation to reflect His love and truth.

Grace and Peace
