Principal's Message

Dear parents and carers,
Welcome to term 2. Students have returned refreshed, calm and ready to learn. Our renewed focus on classroom expectations, routines and procedures is evident as we move through the school year.
This week staff engage in the third day of our professional learning regarding the implementation of the Berry St Educational Model.
"The BSEM equips schools with practical, classroom-based strategies to increase the engagement of all students, including those with complex learning needs.
The model enables schools to support students’ self-regulation, relationships and wellbeing to increase student engagement and significantly improve academic achievement."
More information on the BESM can be found here. This strategy supports the school in working towards achieving our Annual Implementation goal of developing confident, resilient students equipped to thrive in the contemporary world.
Foundation 2026 enrolments are currently open. If you have a sibling to enrol for Foundation 2026, please collect an enrolment form from the office or look for information in your Compass newsfeeds.
Special shout out to FLV students who did a fantastic job of weeding our Wellington Street yard at the end of Term 1!
Thank you for for supporting our fundraising efforts to date. The Colour Fun Run was a huge success, enjoyed by all students, with the added bonus of raising almost $26000. The Election Sausage Sizzle saw our parent volunteers out in force with over 1400 sausages being sold! It's not too late to get tickets for our Comedy Night on Friday 16th May. Click here to get your tickets. Thanks to the families who were able to attend the P-3 working bee last Sunday.
Let's hope the warm weather continues.
Warm Regards
Megan
