Arts & Tech Week Highlights

Head of Faculty -  Arts & Technologies, Nicole Bradford

This week began with energy and expression as students took part in our 2025 Arts & Tech Week! We kicked off the week with a Drama Immersion Afternoon, where they explored performance techniques, character development, and ensemble work in a fun and focused environment.

The momentum continued with our Breakfast of Champions Seminar, bringing together students and creative industry professionals for an engaging morning of inspiration, advice, and networking over coffee and conversation.

To round out the week, our Senior Arts and Technologies students participated in an exciting FLARE workshop, where they explored innovation, design thinking, and the future of technology through hands-on, real-world challenges.

These experiences reflect our commitment to providing dynamic, real-world learning opportunities that ignite creativity, confidence, and curiosity. I invite you to read further about each of these activities below.

Shake & Stir Drama Masterclass

Our Drama students recently had the exciting opportunity to participate in a Shake & Stir Masterclass, a dynamic workshop led by one of Australia's leading contemporary theatre companies. These tailored sessions focused on enhancing students' performance skills, including character development, voice projection, and stage presence. Engaging in such hands-on experiences not only deepens their understanding of theatrical techniques but also fosters creativity and confidence.

Breakfast of Champions Seminar with Mt A Alumnae

This week, we were thrilled to welcome back five of our talented alumnae for the Arts Breakfast Seminar. Each of them studied Visual Arts during their time at Mt A and continue to use creativity in both their careers and everyday lives.

From applying artistic thinking in a career in law to working in the theatre world, their diverse journeys were a fantastic example for our students of how the arts can be a meaningful part of life after school—whether professionally or personally.

A huge thank you to our alumnae for sharing their time, insights, and passion with the next generation of Mt A creatives.

💡 FLARE Workshop with Future Anything

This week, our Senior Arts and Technologies students took part in an exciting FLARE workshop led by Future Anything, a platform that empowers young people to ideate, innovate, and activate their own business ideas.

Throughout the session, students explored design thinking, creativity, and entrepreneurial problem-solving as they worked on real-world challenges. The workshop encouraged bold thinking and practical application—showing students how the skills developed in Technologies can lead to innovative, future-focused pathways.

It was an energising and thought-provoking experience that highlighted the power of creativity, collaboration, and curiosity.

And that’s a wrap on our 2025 Arts & Tech Week!A huge thank you to all the students who got involved, and to our dedicated Arts and Technologies staff for bringing this vibrant week to life. Your creativity, energy, and passion made it one to remember!
