Health and Physical Education Week: A Celebration of Wellness and Fun!
We celebrated Health and Physical Education Week at St. John's on Monday, 24 February, through Friday,2 February. It was a celebration of fitness, well-being, and healthy competition. Students and staff came together to participate in a week full of exciting activities designed to encourage movement and physical activity.
Throughout the week, a variety of engaging events took place, offering something for everyone:
Crossbar challenge
Popular among the Year 7-9 students, the Crossbar challenge tested both shooting accuracy and striking technique. Congratulations to Logan Lancaster CO1 for winning this challenge
Volleyball Tournament
The volleyball tournament was a crowd favourite across all year levels, fostering teamwork, fun and sportsmanship among participants.
Table Tennis Showdown
Players showcased their reflexes, precision, and agility in an intense series of rallies.
Congratulations toManteshwar Kalra AQ5, the overall winner & Toby Cole AQ4 runner-up.
Darts Challenge
The darts competition added a fun twist to the week’s activities. Precision and concentration were key. Congratulations toGary Gurjot Singh AQ5 & Chelvee Govindachetty CO5, overall champions.
Just Dance
The dance session brought a burst of energy to the week! Everyone got their groove on, moving to lively music to have fun while staying active.
Health Trivia Quiz
For those looking to test their knowledge, the Health Trivia Quiz was a hit!
Longest Kick
The inaugural ‘longest kick’ saw some explosive power among participants testing their AFL skills.
