GRADE 3 News

Year Threes arrived at school to find that their chairs had gone on strike!!!!
Read some of the persuasive writing pieces that were written to try and convince the teachers to give them their chairs back, or not!!!!!
Do you know how painful it is without a chair?
You must give our chairs back! It is painful because it is bad for our back health.
Without chairs we cannot work, our feet would be so sore. We won’t have energy to do anything else.
We would treat you with respect, we won’t swing on you, we will clean you and will treat you how we like to be treated.
In conclusion, you know how painful it is right? We are young and we are still growing. We will treat you with respect. Isn’t that fair????

We want the chairs to not be on strike because we need them for support. We promise to be respectful and kind, responsible and take care of them.
Firstly, we need chairs for support. We are growing children and we must have you back at our tables because if not, our health will be affected.
Secondly, we promise to be respectful and kind to you. As a class, we definitely won’t rock on chairs anymore. We guarantee that 3PM will stack you properly everyday.
Lastly, we certainly will take care of you and be responsible for our chairs. There will be no more paint, glue or paper on chairs anymore. We absolutely will clean you at the end of each day.
In conclusion, these high important reasons are why chairs shouldn’t be on strike!

I believe that 3EW should get our chairs back.
Firstly our knees will hurt because of the carpet burn we could get.
Secondly our chairs will no longer have a purpose.
Lastly, do you chairs want to be upside-down for the rest of your lives?
Therefore, we SHOULD get our chairs back.

Dear Chairs,
We do not need your support. We are perfectly capable of holding ourselves up. Tables offer the same support!
Secondly, you really thought we were going to stop drawing on you, NO. Plus you are so uncomfy we have to use pillows to make it feel better!
Thirdly, get outside, feel the fresh air. Go to the USA or something. All I care about is that you leave.
So please leave and never come back. We are FINE, thank you.
