Engaging in our Faith

To be a part of our faith community you are invited to save the following dates for special class Family Masses on the weekend. All faiths are welcome to attend. If you want to have a blessing, when it is time to receive the Eucharist, please join the line but place your hands crossed on your chest and Fr Colin will bless you. Sacred ritual gives children a sense of place and safety. It helps guide their moral compass in life and makes them feel a part of a nurturing community. Please come along if you can.
Sunday 23 March Kinder and Seniors at 10.15 am Mass with morning tea to follow.
Sunday 18 May @6 pm Year 3 followed by a free Sunday night "Potluck" dinner!
Sunday 24 August @10.15 am Family Mass with Year 1 & 2 and morning tea.
Lenten Family Prayer - if you never pray as a family before dinner or before the children go to sleep why not make this Lent a time to start? In the Lenten Season we are invited to fast, to give alms and to pray more. Pope Francis has a beautiful prayer about fasting. You could share this with the family and talk about what it means for our everyday lives.
If you would like to paint the religious dolls that the K- 2 children use in class, we are having another session on March 27th from 12.30 pm. It is a beautiful way for you to chat to other parents and do something creative! Please email me if interested on anne.gray1@dbb.catholic.edu.au

Mission Moments
At Holy Family, Rice Day was a meaningful event where we gathered in mixed year groups to share rice, symbolising the limited diet of those living in poverty. While sharing this simple meal, we also took the time to learn about the important work of Caritas. This experience not oenly fostered a sense of empathy and awareness but also highlighted the significance of solidarity and support from our community for those in need.
