Ms Naidu - Year 8 Year Level Leader

Congratulations to our Class Captions for 2025!

A Positive Start to the Year!

The Year 8 cohort at Cranbourne Secondary College has had an exciting and positive start to 2025. Students have returned full of energy, eager to engage in their classes, and happy to reconnect with friends in the yard.

What’s Ahead for Year 8?

This year, there’s so much to look forward to, including:

  • Year 8 Camp: Scheduled for Term 2, the camp will provide students with the opportunity to bond, build skills, and create lasting memories. We are heading to Philip Island Adventure Resort; forms and more information will be released later this term, so stay tuned!
  • Career Pathways: This term, Year 8 students will begin exploring their career journeys. They’ll look at pathways and steps to help them achieve their ultimate goals.

For parents/carers and students wanting to learn more about career options and planning, you can access helpful resources through the Career Tools Website available via Compass.

Here are some statements from our Year 8 Students on how their year has been so far:

Zachary Prinsloo:

“My experience in Year 8 has been way more exciting and fun than I thought. During school holidays I thought it was going to be gruelling or harder than year 7 but I have the best teachers and good friends. I also noticed that the school has made more positive changes, like more teachers walking around and I’m enjoying helping the Year 7’s.”

Toni-Lorette Bridgland:

“I really enjoy being at Cranbourne Secondary College because all the teachers are extremely nice. Being in the Music Program and Basketball Academy is a great experience and meeting new people while doing the things you love.”

We’re excited for the year ahead and thank our families for their ongoing support as we work together to make 2025 a successful and rewarding year for all Year 8 students.
