Year 7 News

Mr Smith - Year 7 Year Level Leader

Congratulations to our Class Captains for 2025!

We’ve had an exciting start to the year 2025 and introduction to secondary school.

Highlighted by our welcome breakfast on the first day and events such as ProActivity running a team building challenge with our classes.

We have several more events coming up to build into an inspiring 2025. We expect our Term 1 highlights to be our swimming and athletics carnivals and our Year 7 camp to Camp Adanac in Yarra Junction.

Here are some firsthand recounts from students in 7D about their first couple of Weeks at Cranbourne Secondary College.

“My First impressions of Cranbourne Secondary CollegeI feel that Cranbourne Secondary College has a welcoming spirit. We have done many activities in the first few weeks such as a scavenger hunt. Because of the scavenger hunt, we got to understand the school. I have also made some nice connections with people. Overall I have had a great first few weeks.”

My experience at Cranbourne Secondary College (so far)

When I first stepped foot in this school I felt very scared and nervous. I didn’t have any friends here at all. But I saw a classmate that I thought was in a different class in my class so I felt relieved. I still didn’t know if I would like my class or this school. After we got settled into class, I looked at the people in my classroom and recognised some people from last year and my primary school. The teacher had us do some activities on the first three days like a scavenger hunt around the school. After those days I got more used to the school.

“I started to like my class more and the school system became clearer to me. Although the subjects were harder, I still found it interesting and a bit fun at times. The first assembly was very interesting and fun to watch. I liked the group games in the assembly fun and also got to see how my class acted in sports/group activities.”
