Junior School News

The year has certainly started well across years 7-9 and we have seen students settle into their new classes and build relationships quickly with their teachers.

At Cranbourne Secondary, the start of each year sees all students undertake the Empowering Learners Program. This program serves two purposes:

• Building connections between peers and staff
• Re-teaching expected behaviours and school processes

The junior school benefits greatly from this program. Students have the chance to settle in with their new peers and after a significant break, bring their minds back to our school’s processes and expectations. There is a balance of lessons mixed with fun activities throughout the program days.

As we move through Term One, a few reminders:

• Attendance: Our school expectation is that all students are at school every day. If your child is going to be absent, please call the school or make a note on the Compass attendance.
• Uniform: All students must be in full school uniform every day. If you need support with uniform items, please contact the school.
• Mobile phones and devices: Cranbourne Secondary College is a mobile device free school. Students are adhering to the policy well in 2025. If staff see a student with a mobile phone or wireless headphones, they will be confiscated. Please see our mobile phone policy on our website for further details.
