Celebrating Learning

We have been thoroughly enjoying our magic patterns in numbers main lesson. The amount of connections and patterns the kids and I are seeing has been super exciting for all of us! This week we have moved away from the counting and times table patterns and have been looking at doubling patterns, in the context of problem solving. There have been many great discussions and observations about different methods and ways to solve problems. It has been a very rich main lesson and learning experience. 

In writing we have been continuing our writers workshop cycle. Many kids have been writing some convincing persuasive pieces - particularly in regard to running the school and getting a class pet! 

Overall, a great 2 weeks with lots of rich, engaging learning!
