Leadership

I hope everyone is enjoying the change in weather after what has seemed an unusually enduring summer. While the sun continues to shine and summer seems to stretch on, the subtle hints of autumn are beginning to show themselves. Evenings arrive sooner, the early mornings carry a slight chill and the leaves of so many of the (non-native) trees are beginning to show signs of transition. As the saying goes, change is the only constant – and autumn is a gentle reminder of this truth. The end of summer does not signal the end of joy or warmth – it simply signals the arrival of something new.

NAPLAN

Over the past two weeks, our students in years 3 and 5 participated in the National Assessment Program for Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN) program, the annual assessment for all Years 3, 5, 7 and 9 students across Australia. Congratulations to all of our students who participated and engaged in the testing program. A special acknowledgement to our year 5 students who completed the Writing test in the morning prior to leaving for camp. NAPLAN results will be returned later in the year.

Second Hand Bazaar

Best wishes to the Social committee and parent/carer volunteers for the Second-Hand Bazaar on Sunday. The thorough organisation and preparation of this event is impressive and will ensure a very festive atmosphere while raising important funds for the school. Thanks to everyone for all your donations.

Have a great weekend
