Captain's Corner

School Captains

Hello, and Welcome to Week 2!

It has been a busy week at school this week. Here is an update of what we have been up to:

On Tuesday we had an Open Day where a lot of new families visited to have a tour of the school. There was a big turnout. We had a few people in the hall, showcasing the work we have been doing on Beauty and the Beast.

On Tuesday we also had our first whole school rehearsal where Mrs D’Arco led everyone really well. It was nice to see how it is coming along well and everyone had been practising and rehearsing their scenes. Thanks to the parents that have been helping out with getting our costumes ready too!

On Thursday, we had another whole school rehearsal, which went really well.

And to kick off our Friday we celebrated our buddies in our assembly with the 100 Days of Prep. All the preps have dressed up like old grams and gramps to celebrate the 100 days of school, and we reflected on our memories of Grade Prep.

We are so proud of our incredible prep buddies!

Well done to the STAR Award winners.

Happy birthday to: Abigail, Evie, Wolf, Gus and Joey!

Max, Victor and Lucy

In Week 2 we have been doing the beep test and everyone did so well. It is a lot of running, but we are really proud of everyone for having a go.

Alfred, Pip and Oscar

At the start of this term we did the beep test in P.E , which is a fitness test! As we are not competing with others, we are competing against ourselves. Our personal goal is to try to beat what we got the term before.

STEM and Sustainability Captains

This term we’re going to focus a tonne on the Container Deposit Scheme. Every Friday the Sustainability Captains go to specific parts of the yard, collecting bottles and containers to fundraise for our school. So remember to hand your drink containers to Jamie, Maximillian, Max or Stella at break time, students!

If you want to hand your own bottles in for the school, you can go down to a container deposit machine and input this code C2000056397 to raise money for the school.
