MiniLit and MacqLit Intervention Observations

At St Patrick’s, we are committed to building strong partnerships between home and school to support every child’s learning journey. Last week, we invited parents to observe their child’s MiniLit or MacqLit intervention sessions. These opportunities allowed families to see first-hand the strategies and activities used to develop reading fluency, comprehension, and confidence. We thank all parents who attended and engaged in conversations about how to support literacy learning at home. We look forward to offering sessions later this term to all families to observe InitiaLit and OCHRE sessions in the classroom.

Science Week

Our recent Science Week celebrations were a huge hit across the school! Students eagerly took part in exciting activities such as elephant toothpaste, launching balloon rockets, exploring magic water and creating colourful magic milk art. These experiments inspired curiosity, encouraged teamwork and gave students the chance to apply their thinking in creative and practical ways.

Jared Cooney Horvath Parent Sessions

We also remind our school community that, as part of our partnership with world-renowned educational neuroscientist Dr Jared Cooney Horvath, he has created a special video series for parents and carers. These presentations aim to deepen understanding of how children learn and provide practical strategies to support them in their education. We are delighted to share these three engaging and informative recordings with our families, as we continue working together to help every student reach their full potential.
