Congratulations to our July Aussie of the Month Recipients.
We are proud to congratulate our Aussie of the Month award recipients for July:
These students have consistently demonstrated our school values and learner qualities through their positive attitudes, respectful behaviour, and commitment to excellence in their learning.
Their actions set a wonderful example for their peers, and we are incredibly proud of their efforts. Well done, Macy, Hayden, and Liana, on this outstanding achievement!
Their classroom teachers have written some wonderful comments that demonstrate these Values and Learner Qualities being displayed in the classroom environment and also in the school yard.
We encourage all students to continue to Aim High and strive towards demonstrating the Values and Learner Qualities both in and out of the classroom.
Keep Aiming High!! You could be our next Aussie of the Month! 🇦🇺
Kindness Club is held every Friday at recess, offering students a space to explore what it means to be kind through crafts, conversations, and activities that promote empathy and positivity.
Collaborative Play runs every Wednesday at recess, giving students the opportunity to build social skills and teamwork through structured group games and cooperative activities.
The Active Lunch program at Lockleys North is open on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Student Ambassadors setup and run these sessions.
Parachute Club is open for Rowell and Mellor students!
Our Student Ambassadors recently came together for a special meeting to take a first look at the Year 4–6 Wellbeing and Engagement Collection (WEC) data.
The ambassadors split into small groups, each facilitated by one of our senior students, to explore the results in detail. They examined the domains and subdomains of the survey, reviewed the questions students were asked, and engaged in thoughtful discussions about the findings.
The ambassadors identified and celebrated the positive percentage changes we’ve seen over the last few years, and also reflected on areas that could be targeted for further improvement.
The quality of the reflections and the depth of the conversations were truly impressive, a testament to the leadership and insight of our ambassadors.
We’re looking forward to sharing the WEC data with our wider school community in a few weeks’ time, as it’s a moment to celebrate the many improvements we’ve achieved together over recent years.
