WELCOME BACK!

Housekeeping:  Last Monday, we as a staff discussed a few housekeeping items that needed to be addressed.

  1. Toys at school:  We request that students do not bring any toys to school as they create a problem when they are misplaced, borrowed or damaged.  There are plenty of activities available to students during their play times;  farm sets, building blocks and general play equipment.

  2. Lunch Boxes:  Every student needs to have a lunch box.  Any uneaten or left over food will be placed back in the lunch box so that parents and carers can see what has or has not been eaten throughout the day.  This will help to avoid wastage of food as much as it will allow parents to know what is being consumed.

  3. Jewellery:  Students may wear plain silver or gold studs or sleepers in their ears.  They may wear one silver or gold chain with a cross but this needs to be tucked inside their shirt or uniform.  Other than a medical alert bracelet, no other jewellery is to be worn.

  4. Nail polish:  Please ensure that all nail polish is removed from students fingernails for the days they attend school.

  5. Make up:  Students are not to wear makeup to school.

  6. Hair accessories:  Navy, gold or royal blue are the colours that can be used for hair accessories while students are at school.

  7. Uniform:  Correct uniform is to be worn at all times. School ties are an essential part of the uniform.  If you need help teaching your child to tie their ties, please come in to the front office and we can assist.

  8. Hair:  We also ask that hair is kept neat and tidy.  We strongly encourage our students to take pride in their appearance at St Joey's Quirindi.
