Teaching & Learning

A strong partnership between students, schools, and families creates a supportive learning environment where every child can thrive.
NAPLAN Results!
We are incredibly proud of our students’ recent NAPLAN results, which show strong growth from Year 3 to Year 5 and pleasing levels of proficiency across key learning areas, see below.
These results reflect not only the dedication and expertise of our teaching and support staff but also the determination and persistence of our students. Their hard work, resilience, and willingness to embrace challenges, combined with targeted, high-quality teaching and a positive learning environment, have been essential in driving this progress. Well done, all!!
As we look ahead, keeping up this great progress relies on all of us working together, at school and at home. By continuing to encourage regular reading, positive learning habits, and your child’s confidence, you’re playing a vital role in their success. Together, as partners, we can help every child grow and thrive.
How Families Can Support
Reading
Reading is a key foundation for a child’s learning and success. Daily reading at home boosts vocabulary, decoding, and comprehension. Just 10–15 minutes each night can build fluency, confidence, and a love of reading. As your child grows, encourage both independent reading and shared discussions (after reading) to deepen understanding and critical thinking.
Learning Adventures Beyond the Classroom
The holidays provide a vital chance to relax and recharge, while offering chances for engaging and valuable learning. Simple activities, whether traveling, cooking, watching the footy or shopping, can become rich opportunities to develop and strengthen key literacy and numeracy skills beyond the classroom. Please see below some helpful tips of how to support your child's learning at home.
