Cycle 4 Groups – Lock in Your Spot!

Our Cycle 4 after-school groups are now open and we don’t want your young person to miss out.This Cycle, we’re offering groups in:

 Roblox

 Minecraft

 Gaming

 Drawing & Art

 Pokémon

 And More!With sessions available Monday to Friday at 5:00–6:00pm AEST and 6:30–7:30pm AEST, there are plenty of flexible options to suit your family’s schedule.

Each group gives kids the chance to come as they are, share their passions with other like-minded peers and build social connections outside of school. It’s the perfect way to fill that after-school window with something meaningful, fun and inclusive.

WHO & HOW?

In I CAN Online online group mentoring, up to 9 “mentees” join two I CAN mentors. Each team includes one autistic mentor and in most instances, both are autistic. All of our groups are offered on a mixed gender basis.

Participants join a live video conference via  ‘Zoom’. You will gain instant access to the video conference by clicking on each Zoom session link we provide you after you have completed the registration process.  

NOTE: Age groups are advertised broadly. We group participants as close to their age bracket as possible, e.g: 8-13 years, 13-17 years & 17-22 years – this may vary in special interest groups.

This September, for three days, you can join our Minecraft Creative Server for autistic/neurodivergent mentees ages 7-22 in a safe, fun, and inclusive online world.

 

 Dates: September 22, 23 & 24

 Time: 10am – 12pm (AEST)

 

 Price: $321This is the only program we’ll be running during the September school holidays, so don’t miss the chance to get involved. Whether your child loves building, exploring, or just hanging out with others who share their passion for Minecraft, this is the perfect holiday activity.

Student scholarships for Grade 4 – Year 12

Scholarships overview

The Department of Education administers a range of scholarships on behalf of various trusts.

Scholarships are available to students currently enrolled in Grade 4 to Year 11, and students enrolled in Year 12 in 2025 who plan to begin tertiary studies in 2026.

Applicants for the scholarships are evaluated on their:

· academic achievement

· participation in school activities

· community involvement.

Scholarships are either one-off payments or available for the duration of the student’s course/study.

Scholarships support students and families to assist with the cost of education and engagement in further study at primary, secondary and tertiary level.

Eligibility

Students must be enrolled in Victorian schools and must be Australian citizens or permanent residents. Some scholarships are available specifically to Victorian government school students while others are available to students across all sectors.

Scholarships may be targeted to students experiencing financial hardship, and trusts may have particular eligibility criteria.

Can students apply for more than one scholarship?

Students are encouraged to carefully identify and apply for scholarships where they meet the criteria.

· Grade 4 and 5 students valued at $750

· Grade 6 students valued at $1,500

George Wilson Robertson Scholarships

· Grade 6 students valued at $1,500

Scholarships available to secondary school students

Alexander Rushall Scholarship

· Year 12 students commencing a full-time university degree in 2026, valued at $1,800

Dammery Educational Trust Fund Scholarships

· Year 10 students valued at $1,500

· Year 12 students commencing a full-time university degree in 2026, valued at $2,500

John and Maud Askew Secondary Scholarships

· Year 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11 students valued at $1,500

Robert Sterne Marr Scholarship

· Year 8 student valued at $300

VADC and Ivy Blair Scholarships

· Year 10 students who are supported by a single parent/carer or whose parent/s have passed away, valued at $750

Walter Lindrum Memorial Scholarship

· Year 12 students commencing a full-time university degree in 2026, valued at $500 per year for the duration of the course

Interested in teaching?

George Garibaldi Turri Scholarships for Year 12 students who will be undertaking a full-time teaching degree in 2026. Valued at $2,680 for the first year, with the amount adjusted annually in line with Consumer Price Index (CPI) for the duration of the course.

Studying fine arts?

Ella Donald Fine Arts Memorial Scholarships for Year 12 students who will be undertaking a full-time Fine Arts degree in 2026. Valued at $1,000 per year for the duration of the course.

Are you a female Koorie student?

Alice Jennings Scholarship is available for a Year 12 female Koorie student who will be undertaking a full-time TAFE or university course in 2026 in a field that contributes to the welfare of the Koorie population. Valued at $1,000 annually for the duration of the course.

Other year 12 scholarships administered externally

Dafydd Lewis Trust Scholarships for Year 12 students who will be undertaking a full-time degree in 2026 with the exception of Arts, Education, Music and Theology at $10,000 each annually for three years. Francis Gregory Foundation Scholarships for Year 12 students who will be undertaking a full-time degree in 2026 at any university in Australia. Margaret Schofield Scholarships for Year 12 students who have demonstrated a commitment to both Music Performance or Composition in recent years and a future career in Music Performance or Composition at $7,000 each as a one-off payment. Rail, Tram and Bus Union Scholarships

Only students who have a parent/guardian who is a financial member of the Rail, Tram and Bus Union (Locomotive Division) are eligible for these scholarships:

· Frank Carey Memorial Scholarships valued at $600 will be awarded to Year 9 students

· Glenn Moorehead Memorial Scholarship valued at $300 for Year 8 students

· Steve Gibson Memorial Scholarships valued at $600 for Year 10 students

· Ken Matthews Memorial Scholarship valued at $600 for Year 12 students who will be undertaking a full-time degree in 2026
