HSC Showcase
Our Year 12 HSC students dazzled at the recent CAPA Showcase Evening, presenting a vibrant celebration of creativity, talent, and hard work. Families, friends, and staff were treated to an inspiring array of performances and exhibitions across Drama, Music, Visual Arts, and Dance, each piece reflecting the students’ dedication and artistic growth throughout their HSC journey.
The evening was a testament to the passion and perseverance of our CAPA cohort.
Arts in Concert - Sydney Opera House
On Monday, students from our school choir had the incredible opportunity to perform in Arts In Concert at the iconic Sydney Opera House.
Arts In Concert is an Arts Unit initiative that celebrates musical talent within public education, bringing together a massed choir of 800 students from schools across New South Wales.
The performance featured the renowned Australian Vocal Ensemble (AVE), led by the exceptional Katie Noonan. Also showcased were several Arts Unit ensembles, including the Sydney Wind Ensemble, Orchestra, Jazz Orchestra, and vocal groups from Sydney and Newcastle.
Our choir prepared six diverse pieces, ranging from Mozart’s Requiem in D minor to music from Gladiator, as well as contemporary Australian choral works. After two earlier rehearsals and a full-day final rehearsal, we performed to a sold-out Opera House audience whose applause nearly lifted the roof.
This unforgettable experience allowed our students to collaborate with industry professionals, refine their musical skills, and connect with like-minded peers beyond the classroom.
Year 12 Visual Art Students - Finalising their Body of Work
Our Year 12 Visual Arts students are currently in the final stages of refining their Body of Work for submission to NESA. This year’s collection features an exciting array of concepts and techniques, reflecting the remarkable diversity and creativity within the cohort.
Included are photos of some of their impressive creations, offering a glimpse into the talent and dedication behind each piece.
We look forward to celebrating their artistic achievements at our annual Cabaret Night exhibition in December—a night that promises to be a vibrant showcase of imagination, skill, and hard work.
