Wellbeing Team Update
Thursday 11 December 2025
Dear Families, Students and Community Members,
As we come to the end of a big and transformative year at our college, we would like to reflect on our journey and share our excitement for what lies ahead. This year has brought significant change, particularly in the makeup of our wellbeing staff and the systems we use - which has allowed us to support more students than ever before.
With our refreshed structure, our team now includes:
Linda Walsh – Youth Counsellor
Each of us has brought valuable expertise, energy and perspective to the school, and together we have focused on embedding ourselves across all areas of the Junior, Middle and Senior communities. While each practitioner is linked to a Sub-School, we have worked collaboratively across the whole college. Throughout the year, we have refined processes, strengthened communication and ensured clearer, more efficient pathways for students to access wellbeing support.
We have also continued to maintain and strengthen our established wellbeing programs. Breakfast Club, Mindful Mornings, Social Groups and our Diversity Groups have remained important parts of our wellbeing landscape. These ongoing programs give students welcoming spaces where they can connect with peers, practise social and emotional skills, and feel supported throughout their day. We see the positive impact these groups have on students’ regulation, readiness for learning and sense of belonging.
As student needs continue to evolve, we remain committed to responding proactively.
Looking ahead to 2026, we are excited to introduce new initiatives focused on perfectionism, managing anxious feelings, attendance and resilience building. These programs reflect our commitment to helping students understand themselves more deeply and develop strong coping strategies that will support them throughout life.
We are incredibly proud of the progress made this year and grateful for the trust and partnership of our students, families and staff. We look forward to continuing this important work in 2026 as we further strengthen wellbeing across our entire school community.
Sarah, Sue, Gina and Linda
