Year 5/6 - Senior Unit

As we write the last Senior Newsletter contribution for 2025, it brings the Senior Unit teachers a great sense of pride to look back on all of the personal achievements of our students.
Inquiry
Last Thursday, the senior students had the opportunity to share their Chemical Science Inquiry projects with the school community and families. They proudly shared their understanding of states of matter, particle movement and chemical and physical changes with their audience, answering questions confidently.
Numeracy
Students have been working hard to plan their dream holiday with a budget of $10,000. They used spreadsheets to record and calculate budgets for their holidays and then created a Google Site to share their planned itinerary, accommodation and activities.
Graduation
Yesterday, we celebrated the achievements of all of our Year 6 students with families, school staff and special guests. On show were the wonderful talents of students through awards, songs, music, poems and filmmaking. The pride on display from all who attended was wonderful to witness.
Celebration Day!
Today, students in Year 6 are visiting MSAC in Melbourne as part of their end of year Celebration Day.
A fun time was had by all to celebrate the final days of their primary school journey! Enjoying the wave pool, diving boards and inflatables, students had an amazing time and represented themselves marvellously.
As we farewell our Year 6 students, we welcome our current Year 5 students into their roles as the school leaders for 2026.
We wish to thank you for your ongoing support throughout the year and wish you and your families a happy and healthy Christmas and New Year.
