Colour Run Wrap Up

BURSTING WITH COLOUR: OUR SCHOOL’S 2025 COLOUR RUN WAS A SPECTACULAR SUCCESS!

Friday 31st October, our school grounds transformed into a rainbow-filled celebration as students, staff, and families came together for this year’s highly anticipated Colour Run. Under grey skies and buzzing excitement, students hit the ovals ready to walk, jog, or sprint their way through clouds of vibrant colour.

From the very first countdown, the energy was electric. Laughter echoed across the oval as colour volunteers cheerfully showered runners with bright powders at each station. By the time students made it around the oval, they were covered head-to-toe in a kaleidoscope of blue, pink, yellow, and green—proof of a good time had by all.

Beyond the fun, the event also carried a deeper purpose. Thanks to the enthusiasm of our school community, the Colour Run raised $29,485.52 with a profit of $16,511.89 to support the purchase of outdoor play items, ensuring our students continue to enjoy rich and engaging learning opportunities.  Teachers and parents alike were thrilled to see students cheering each other on, celebrating their achievements, and embracing the spirit of teamwork. Many described it as one of the best events of the year.

A huge thank you goes to our volunteers, organisers, and families whose support made the day run smoothly—and so colourfully! We’re already planning something fun for next year.

Some statements from students about the day:

Nina and Aliyyah – The colour run was an amazing experience with my friends. We had lots of fun and want to do it again. We got covered in all sorts of colours which is why we want to do it again next year.

Darcy and Sloan – We loved doing the colour run because we got covered with different coloured powered and made our houses and cars colourful which was fun for us but not the parents. Can’t wait to do it all again next year please!

Penny – We went down to the oval and ran around the outside. Parents and volunteers sprayed us with colourful powder, and I had lots of fun with my friends. Looking forward to doing it again next year!

Malal and Neve (Year 3 SRC representatives)

On the Friday 31st of October we did our Colour Fun Run to raise money for our school. It was a fantastic day.  Before we went out to run we all had our faces painted. We all wore white clothes and ran around the oval. Some of the adults sprayed us with colour it was so much fun. Most of the teachers took part in the run and also were sprayed with colour.

We hope that everyone enjoyed it and that we raised a huge amount of money for our school. We look forward to it again next year.
