School Christmas Carols

Our school’s Christmas Carols evening on Wednesday, 3rd December, was a warm and joyful celebration that perfectly matched the early-summer weather. With the sun still glowing at 5:30 PM and families gathering on the oval, the atmosphere felt festive, relaxed, and full of community spirit.
The program began beautifully with the Preps performing Silent Night, their gentle voices setting a peaceful tone. Year 1 followed with an enthusiastic Santa Claus is Coming, bringing smiles to everyone. Year 2 continued the traditional theme with a lovely rendition of The First Noel.
As the grades progressed, so did the energy. Year 3’s Santa Claus is Coming to Town was full of excitement, and Year 4 impressed with a confident performance of O Come, All Ye Faithful. Year 5 brought a lively change of pace with Thats What Christmas Means to Me, and Year 6 kept the joyful spirit going with Jingle Bell Rock.
Our choirs added a special musical richness to the evening. The Junior Choir sang a sweet and heartfelt Away in a Manger, while the Senior Choir delivered moving performances of Do You Hear What I Hear and Hark! The Herald Angels Sing. Their harmonies echoed beautifully across the warm summer air.
The instrumental groups showcased remarkable talent as well. The Junior Band’s cheerful Jingle Bells set toes tapping, and the Senior Band impressed the crowd with a vibrant performance of Sleigh Ride.
To finish the night, the Aladdin Cast joined the Senior Choir for a spirited finale of We Wish You a Merry Christmas. It was the perfect way to end the evening, bringing the entire school community together in a joyful celebration of music, community, and the Christmas season.
Overall, the night was a wonderful reminder of the talent within our school and the importance of coming together. The warm weather, excited families, and festive songs created a memorable event that truly captured the spirit of Christmas.
