Child Safe Standards

Standard 9: Physical and online environments promote safety and wellbeing while minimising the opportunity for children and young people to be harmed
Child Safe Standard 9 - An overview
We work hard to make sure both physical spaces and online environments are safe for all children. Child Safe Standard 9 requires us to actively identify and manage any risks that could impact a child’s safety and wellbeing. This includes keeping our classrooms, playgrounds, and other areas secure, as well as making sure that any online tools or platforms we use follow our school’s child safety policies and codes of conduct. We also take care when working with outside services to make sure they meet the same high standards for child safety.
Standard 10: Implementation of the Child Safe Standards is regularly reviewed and improved
Child Safe Standard 10 - An overview
At our school, we are always working to improve how we keep children safe. Child Safe Standard 10 means we regularly review and update our child safety policies and practices to make sure they are effective and up to date. We look closely at any complaints, concerns, or incidents to understand what happened, why it happened, and how we can prevent it in the future. This helps us identify any patterns or bigger issues that need attention. Your feedback and involvement are an important part of helping us continue to grow and improve.
Standard 11: Policies and procedures document how the organisation is safe for children and young people
Child Safe Standard 11 - An overview
At our school, we have clear policies that explain how we keep children safe. These policies cover all important areas of child safety and are created with input from teachers, families, and the wider school community to make sure they work well for everyone. Our school leaders actively support these policies and make sure they are followed. All staff put them into practice, so every child can learn and grow in a safe and caring environment.
