Principal's Message

Good afternoon, Parents/Carers,

We have reached the final week of 2025, and I would like to thank all of our staff, students and parents/carers for a fantastic year.  I look forward to the amazing things we have planned for 2026.  I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone all the best for the festive season and a safe and restful break.

Farewell and Thank You

We say farewell to Angela Gordon, Bec Pepper and Vanessa Saunders who will be leaving us at the end of this year.  Thank you for all you have brought to Werris Creek Public School, and we wish you all the best for 2026.  

Presentation Day

It was great to see so many Parents/Carers, families and community at our annual Presentation Day last Tuesday.  Thank you to our guests who attended and assisted in the presentation of awards.  Congratulations to all students who received an award.  A remarkable achievement.    

School Captains 2026

Congratulations to our newly elected School Leaders for 2026.  School Captains Lillian and Tyler and Vice School Captains Jackson and Jeremy.  I look forward to working with you in 2026.

Christmas Craft

After our Presentation Day assembly, we invited our Parents/Carers and families to join us in making Christmas Craft with the children.  We hope both students, families and staff enjoyed our start to the festive season. 

Year 6 Farewell

We celebrated our Year 6 cohort and welcomed their Parents/Carers at their Farewell last Thursday.  It was a fantastic night, and all had a great time.  We wish all of our Year 6 students the very best as they embark on their journey into high school. 

K-3 Excursion to Forum 6 Cinemas

Our K-3 Cohort travelled to Tamworth last Friday, to enjoy a visit to see Zootopia 2 at Forum 6 Cinemas and then onto the park for some play time.  Thank you to the P&C for organising lunch for our students, it is very much appreciated.

A big thank you goes to Agracom Pty Ltd who presented our school with a generous donation.  We really appreciate your donation that will go towards assisting our students in various activities throughout 2026.

2026 Year 6 Shirts

The Year 6 Shirts for 2026 have been ordered and will be available to collect early next year. All shirts must be paid for in full before they are given out.  Payments can be made to the office.

Opportunity Class Yr 5 and Selective High School Applications 

If you wish to apply for an Opportunity Class or Selective High School in 2027, Applications are now open.  The Application period is from Thursday 6 November 2025 to Friday 20 February 2026.  For more information, please go to the Education Department's Website: education.nsw.gov.au
