Judah the Lion mascots

What an amazing First Week of School Last Week!

The joy and energy students, families and staff have for this 2025 school year has been palpable. Amidst the excitement and nerves, it was a time of reconnecting with friends, peers, colleagues and our communities while settling into the rhythm of the new year. Both of our campuses were thrilled to debut Judah the Lion mascots as they greeted families with delight and bubble wands. Shout out to our very own LCS parent, Brigitte Murach at Kaiju Fox, for bringing them to life. Her creative skills and hard-work in costume designing are truly remarkable! Our Judahs received lots of hugs, high-fives and smiles, making them the most lovable personalities on our Burnie and Ulverstone campuses. Expect to see them around our communities inspiring everyone they meet. It has been an unforgettable start to the year as we embark on innovation, personalised education, and opportunities to partner with our communities. Here’s to 2025 and the wonderful things God has in store for our school!  Welcome back.

ANNOUNCING NEW ONLINE ENROLMENT SYSTEM – DIGISTORM FUNNEL

We are excited to announce that our enrolment system is now online!  Funnel’s online enrolment system makes it simple for families to make an enquiry, request an information pack, and complete, edit and process their child’s application.  Families can start and finish their child’s online enrolment anywhere, anytime, and easily upload any required documents for their application directly from their desktop or mobile device.

Our enrolment process for new and current families commences with completion of our ‘Enrolment Enquiry Form’ on our website: https://www.leighland.tas.edu.au/enquiries

New families – process

  1. Submission of our Enrolment Enquiry Form;

  2. Member of our enrolment team will be in touch to book a tour, or answer any questions;

  3. Once the tour has been completed, a link to our online enrolment application form will be emailed;

  4. Once the online application form and supporting documentation is received (and payment of  a $50 application fee per family is made), a member of our enrolment team will reach out to organise an interview with the relevant campus Principal;

  5. On completion of the interview, if an Offer of a Place is being extended, a link to an Acceptance Form will be emailed.  The Acceptance Form includes acceptance of the School’s Terms and Conditions and Parent Code of Conduct Policy;

  6. Once the Acceptance Form has been signed and submitted, the enrolment process is complete.

Current families – process

  1. Submission of our Enrolment Enquiry Form;

  2. A link to our online enrolment application form will be emailed.  Current families aren’t required to take a tour, unless they desire to do so.

  3. Once the online application form and supporting documentation is received, a member of our enrolment team will be in touch to organise the next step;

  4. If an Offer of a Place is being extended, a link to an Acceptance Form will be emailed.

  5. Once the Acceptance Form has been signed and submitted, the enrolment process is complete.

Please note that siblings are not automatically enrolled.  Completion of the enrolment application & provision of supporting documentation is required for all students.

I encourage any current families with siblings for next year, or beyond, to please lodge an Enrolment Enquiry Form as soon as possible to secure your child’s spot.  This will also assist our Principals to determine vacancies.

If you are aware of a new family who are considering enrolment for their child/ren, please encourage them to complete our Enrolment Enquiry Form.  We would welcome the opportunity to tour and chat with them about all that Leighland Christian School has to offer.
