Indigenous Programs
Engineering, leadership and more
These intensive programs involve students staying at one of the university colleges on campus or at some other residential camp with other Indigenous students who are also considering tertiary study.
The School of Indigenous Studies offers three residential programs each year. Find details HERE.
This year both year 10 & 11 students who are interested in any area of science are invited to attend.
The residential camp is usually held annually in July for students in Year 10 and 11. It is held in Perth and includes visits to The University of Western Australia and other locations of scientific interest around the city. Find details HERE.
The Indigenous Australian Engineering School (IAES) is a week-long residential camp that introduces students to the fields of engineering and related careers. Participants will engage in site visits, meet with industry professionals, and take part in various educational activities.
The program is aimed at Indigenous students in Years 9 to 12 who have an interest and talent in engineering, science, and mathematics.
The camp is free of charge, with all travel, meals, and accommodation provided.
If you are chosen to attend the IAES, you will also be eligible for an Engineering Aid Australia Continuing School scholarship, which helps with educational costs in Years 10, 11, and 12.
Furthermore, if you gain admission to an engineering or related degree at any Australian university, you will be eligible for an Engineering Aid Australia Tertiary Education scholarship.
