With the warm weather and school holidays upon us, it is time for our entire school community to celebrate and reflect on another fantastic year at the College. This year has been filled with remarkable learning experiences - both in and out of the classroom, incredible achievements, and moments of personal growth. From our Early Learning Centre's curious Piccolo’s exploring the world around them to our primary school students diving deep into their learning and our senior students preparing for their final exams and future pathways, each student has undertaken an incredible journey of learning throughout 2024. Our classrooms and learning spaces have been vibrant curiosity, creativity, and connection hubs.
As our staff have reflected on the past year and shared information during student handover meetings, it has been particularly evident how proud we all are of our student's individual development and growth across all year levels. They've navigated challenges, supported one another, and embraced opportunities. Whether our youngest learners took their first steps in reading or our senior students prepared for university applications, each milestone has been a testament to their growth and potential.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank our families for their incredible support throughout the year. Working together in partnership is crucial in helping students strive and achieve their best, and the truly collaborative spirit of our school community really makes a difference.
While most of our students will have now well and truly settled into the rhythm of the school holidays, I know our Year 12 students will be eagerly awaiting the release of their results in the coming days and then looking towards making plans for 2025. I wish them all the best for this time, and we offer our congratulations to all of you for your efforts and achievements in completing your VCE. Communication about the Year 12 Examinations and school advice and support has been sent to our Year 12 families. Still, don't hesitate to contact Mrs Rebekah Bonnett, Ms Helen Reiher, or me if you have any questions.
As we look forward to the summer holidays – with cricket, beach days, and well-deserved rest on the horizon – I hope there is time to celebrate the growth and achievements of the past year as well as relax and switch off from school. We can't wait to welcome everyone back in Term One, refreshed and ready for new adventures.
Wishing you a wonderful festive season and a safe, enjoyable summer break.
