Welcome back everyone to the 2025 school year. It is always great to see how excited our students are to come to school and begin engaging with their learning activities in classrooms, specialist programs and outdoor spaces. It has also been lovely to catch up with families. We look forward to seeing as many as possible at our Meet the Classroom Team afternoon next week. At Croydon SDS, we believe that building a positive working partnership between home and school is a very important part of supporting your children to achieve their best. Please feel welcome to contact your child's teacher, our front office or Christine and myself if you have any questions, concerns or ideas to share with us.
Below is a link to our Parent Handbook for 2025. If you would like a hard copy, please ask the front office.
We have a number of new students and families who have started school this year.
Welcome to:
Archie, Charlie, Dominic, Jesse, Raz, Enoch, Nathan, Leah, Lily, Valencia, Vivienne, Amirah
There has certainly been some hot weather at the start of this school year! Just a reminder that all students need a sun smart hat to wear in during outdoor play. We are aware that some students do not enjoy wearing a hat. Staff will continue to teach and encourage students. Please make sure your child has a named hat for school. When you complete the parent permissions, you can opt for your child to use school provided sunscreen or provide your own. If you are sending in sunscreen from home, please make sure this has your child's name on it.
Thank you everyone for your patience and care at the start and end of school when you are dropping off your children. We know that this is a busy time particularly while the building works are continuing. Please remember to drive no faster than 5km/hour in the school driveway. Please contact the office or speak with Christine or Judith if you have any questions or concerns about the arrangements. We are committed to keeping everyone safe at Croydon SDS!
