On Wednesday 12 February, 3-5pm we welcome you to Croydon SDS to visit your child’s classroom to meet the staff, (teachers and ES). Classrooms will be set up for a typical school day, for you to see their learning environment, visual schedules and other learning resources. Staff will discuss class programs, activities and structures; parents/carers will also have an opportunity to ask questions.
It will be an open afternoon and staff will be based in their classrooms therefore families can come along at any time during the two hours that works best for you. We ask families to enter through the new main office to sign in. For families arriving at 3pm, Christine and Judith will take you on a tour through the new building before heading to classrooms.
There will also be a sausage sizzle in the primary play space for everyone attending.
We are thrilled to invite students, parents, and carers to explore the new and exciting Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) space at Croydon SDS! We are located near Gate 4, (Belmont Park Gate).
Join us on Wednesday, February 12th, from 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM for a chance to meet our dedicated leadership team and educators who will be facilitating a program focused on:
✨ Independent living and social skills
🎨 Play theory and sensory exploration
🌍 Community engagement
🏃♂️ Physical activity and movement
This is a fantastic opportunity to express interest in the program, learn more about our School Holiday Program, and discover how OSHC@IOE can support your child’s development in a fun, inclusive, and engaging environment.
We look forward to meeting you and becoming a part of your community!

As communicated via Compass, over the break finishing touches were made to the new administration building and we have moved in. It's great to be in this modern space with rooms designed around our school needs. We look forward to having more students and families visit the building, particularly the library and family room!
As tiles continue to be laid in the pool area, this room is looking nice and light and bright.
In January, we renovated the classroom building in the middle of the school; these Primary 2 classrooms and the corridor were painted, new carpet was laid and new felt display boards were installed. This building now matches the renovations completed in the Primary 1 building last year and the colours in the new build.
The Victorian Government is delivering the School Saving Bonus (SSB) – a one-off support of $400 for eligible government school students from Prep to Year 12 in 2025.
The SSB helps families cover the cost of uniforms, textbooks, excursions, activities and more.
Most families have now received their SSB code(s). I encourage you to take advantage of this government support.
To learn more about the SSB online system;
If you would like to use your bonus for school activities, you can allocate some or all of the bonus using the School Saving Bonus online system.
If you have only recently completed your enrolment into the Victorian government school system you can expect to receive your SSB code(s) in the coming weeks.
If you have transferred to our school from another Victorian government school, any remaining funds on your SSB code(s) will soon be available to use at our approved school suppliers. We request your patience as this change is processed.
The Department of Education has established a dedicated contact centre to support the SSB. The contact centre can be reached by:
