Volunteer Inductions

At Moama Anglican Grammar, we recognise the valuable part volunteers play in helping our students flourish in our school community. We welcome parents, guardians, or community members to become registered volunteers to enable them to be involved in the variety of student activities we offer at our school.

To become a registered volunteer, the following process must be completed:

  1. Complete the 2025 Volunteer Agreement

  2. Attend one of the upcoming Volunteer Inductions on:

Tuesday 11 February at 8:50 am (Face to Face at School)

Wednesday 12 February at 9:00 am (via Zoom)

Please contact the Primary Office at psreception@moamagrammar.nsw.edu.au or 5480 5950, to register your interest and to receive the Zoom Link. Further dates will be advertised through our newsletters.

  3. Obtain a NSW Working With Children Check (WWCC). The WWCC is a requirement for anyone who works or volunteers in child-related work in NSW. It involves a National Police Check (criminal history record check) and a review of reportable workplace misconduct. The Check is FREE for volunteers and the link below provides further information on how to obtain a WWCC online. A WWCC is valid for 5 years.

NAPLAN

The National Assessment Program - Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN) is an annual national assessment for all students in Years 3, 5, 7, and 9. All students in these year levels are expected to participate in tests in reading, writing, language conventions (spelling, grammar and punctuation) and numeracy. NAPLAN is the measure through which governments, education authorities, schools, teachers and parents can determine whether or not young Australians have the literacy and numeracy skills that provide the critical foundation for other learning and their productive and rewarding participation in the community.

NAPLAN tests are scheduled for Wednesday 12 March until Monday 24 March 2025. The Year 3 Writing test is paper based the other tests are all online. Our students will use their Chromebooks and complete the tests in their classrooms wearing headphones. Classroom teachers will be administering the tests and will go through all instructions beforehand.

Parent/Carer consent forms for disability adjustments need to be completed by 21 February 2025.  Parents wishing to have their child exempt from NAPLAN testing will need to complete the Parent/Carer consent form for exemption and withdrawal by 7 March 2025. Please contact the relevant staff member if you have any questions or concerns regarding any of the disability adjustments for NAPLAN.
