From the Principal

Dear Parents & Guardians,

We have had a superb start to the 2025 school year and I take this opportunity, again, to extend a personal welcome to all members of our school community and specifically to new students, families and staff who have joined Moama Anglican Grammar this year.

I have very much enjoyed connecting with students from Kindergarten to Year 12 as they commenced their first day of classes for 2025 and to hearing about the adventures that students and families experienced over the Christmas holiday period.

As we commence Term 1 2025, it is with great anticipation and excitement that I provide our School Community with two strategic updates as we commence the 2025 school year.

Commencing construction of our Multi-Purpose Stadium

After an extensive research and design process engaging the voice of our staff team, various community stakeholder groups, and site visits to exemplar facilities, I am most pleased to announce that we will be commencing the construction of our Multi-Purpose Stadium on Friday 14 February.

The Multi-Purpose Stadium will be situated at the northern end of the Primary School Car Park at our Kirchhofer Street site.  Stage 1 of the project, which is due for completion in early February 2026, comprises two state-of-the-art international sized Basketball and Netball Courts, toilet and change facilities, Dance Studios and retractable seating enabling flexible use for school assemblies and events.

Our Multi-Purpose Stadium is the largest Capital Development that our school has ever undertaken and I take this opportunity to thank our Board, and all members of our community who have played a part in bringing this exciting project to life for our students, families and staff.

Further details regarding the stadium will be shared during my Commencement Assembly Principal address on Friday 14 February.

We look forward to welcoming those families that can attend this celebration.

Head of School Basketball appointment - Mr Luke Carnegie

Moama Anglican Grammar’s Sport Program and Sporting Pathways Philosophy is explicitly focused on providing students access to broad choices and opportunities in areas of passion and interest, whilst having fun and developing their confidence, knowledge and skills.

Catering for all abilities our Sports Program supports students to grow and strive to achieve their personal best in a safe, inclusive, supportive, and highly encouraging environment.

As we continue to amplify choice across the scope of our Co-Curricular Sport Program, I am delighted to confirm the appointment of Mr Luke Carnegie as our NEW School Head of Basketball for 2025 & Beyond.

Luke is a highly experienced basketball coach and former professional player. He played for the Sydney Kings in the Australian National Basketball League (NBL) during the late 1990s and early 2000s.
