From the Sports Desk...

Mr Rodger and Mrs Wilkinson are excited for a fantastic year of PE and sport at Donvale in 2025. 

The 2025 calendar has some great opportunities and experiences for all students to get involved with. Firstly, it has all kicked off with our opt in Swimming Trials for Grade 3-6 students (see below), which took place at Carey Bulleen Sports Complex on Wednesday 5th February, with District Swimming occurring in week 4, taking place at Doncaster Aquarena on Monday, February 17th. 

Term One will also see our Grade 5/6 students take part in the Summer Round Robin (during March and April), with some opportunities to represent Donvale at District Golf as well. 

Throughout the year, students will have the opportunity to take part in cross country running, athletics, gymnastics and many more sporting activities. Physical Education classes will see students developing their motor skills, playing in teams and most importantly, having FUN while being active.

The PE teaching team can't wait for the year ahead!

2025 Swimming Trials

On Wednesday 5th February 2025, we took 30 eager students to Carey Sports Complex pool for opt in swimming trials. Students tried hard to swim their best times in 50m Freestyle, Backstroke, Breaststroke and killer 50m Butterfly. 

It was a great effort from all who attended, and we're looking forward to seeing Donvale shine in the pool at our District Swimming Carnival held at Aquarena on Monday 17th February 2025.

Well done to all who attended, and thank you to the parent helpers on the day!
