2025 Swimming Carnival

Our Swimming Carnival at Geelong College Pool for Grade 3-6 students is on Friday 31st January 2025. The event is for strong and confident swimmers who might progress through to the next Division level for swimming in Geelong and will represent ‘Mano’. There has been a wonderful amount of students from Grade 2, 3, 4 and 5 who are keen and interested, but I am reminding them that this is a competitive sporting event and expectations are high, along with making sure they can swim competitive strokes.

Students will compete in their appropriate age group. Students must be able to swim and race 25 metres up and 25 metres back without stopping (50m) in either freestyle, backstroke, breast-stroke or butterfly. Over the summer break if you feel that your child cannot complete this distance please let Mr Hambrook know ASAP  in week 1so we can remove your child from the event.

At the moment we have 8 parent helpers and are looking for about 14. Please let Georgia in the office know or come and speak to Mr Hambrook if you can assist during the event.

Kind regards,

John Hambrook
