Administration Updates

Accessing The School Saving Bonus

Parents and carers of students enrolled in a Victorian government school for 2025 should have now received an email from the Department of Education. This email includes a unique code for the $400 School Saving Bonus and instructions on how to access the online system. The funds can be used for school uniforms or school-related activities, but once allocated, changes cannot be made. Please be advised you will receive an email for each child enrolled.

If you cannot find the email, please first check your junk folder. If you still can't locate it, contact the school for assistance. If your child is transferring to Scoresby Primary School in 2025 from another Victorian government school, your code will be available early in 2025.

How To Use The School Saving Bonus

You can choose how to use the School Saving Bonus based on your family's needs. The bonus can be applied to the following 2025 school costs:

  • School activities including excursions, swimming and camps

  • School uniforms

The bonus can be used at your school's approved uniform suppliers, either in-store or online, or through State Schools' Relief. Any amount allocated to uniforms will be valid until 30 June 2025. After this date, remaining funds will be transferred to your child’s school account for future activities.

Unused funds will roll over for use in future years if not spent in 2025.

Families with more than one eligible child at the same school can combine the School Saving Bonus payments across their children. For example, a family with three children enrolled in government schools would receive a total of $1,200 to be used as needed. However, the School Saving Bonus cannot be combined across different schools.

School Levies For 2025

Please note that the School Levies letter will be sent out to all families on the first day of the new year. The school levies for 2025 will remain the same as 2024, at $285.00 per student.

CSEF In 2025

If you are new to the school in 2024 or 2025, or your circumstances have changed, and you have a valid Health Care Card, you will be eligible for the Camps, Sports, Excursion Fund (CSEF) payment. This payment is $150.00 per child, paid directly to the school, to be used towards school activities. Families will need to complete a CSEF application form, which is available at the school office. If you have previously completed a CSEF form at Scoresby Primary School, there is no need to complete a new one.
