Organisation
The 2025 school year is up and running and one of the ways we can achieve our best is through being organised! All students will have received their school diary; the diary is an essential part of life at Horsham College and must be brought to every class. It is needed to record when work is due, keeping a copy of the students’ timetable and to be signed by teachers for students to be able to leave class for any reason. The diary is also useful for messages from home, sign and give details for appointments or reasons for students being out of uniform.
Lockers are another area where organisation is key. Students must secure their locker with a lock. This keeps their belongings safe and makes maintenance of the lockers much easier. For our younger students it takes some practice to manage all the belongings in the locker, one tip is to use the lower, larger shelf to sit all the books/equipment that students need each day and leave the top shelf for storage of school bag. Should students need any support in working out how to manage supplies in their locker, please feel free to reach out to me to give them some assistance.
Remember, high school is a new and exciting adventure and a time for students to demonstrate their growing independence, however, if students are having any concerns with any aspect of their school experience they should know that we have an amazing team of people who are more than ready to give them any support they should need.
