ABSENCES

Parents/guardians are reminded to contact the school if their child is going to be absent.

 

You can call our Absence Hotline 5381 7200 or through our Seqta App.

KESOs (Koorie Engagement Support Officers)

KESOs support Koorie children and their families with assistance to make the journey through primary and secondary school as seamless as possible.

 

KESOs also connect with other relevant (school and regional staff) and external support workers to assist family engagement.

 

KESOs can assist with:

  • Individual Education Plan Meetings

  • Assist with Scholarship/s applications

  • Suspensions and Expulsions Meetings

Plus a whole range of other Educational needs.

It is important that we have up to date contact details for Students. Please remember if you move house, change phone numbers etc that you please let us know so we can change it on our records.

UNIFORM DONATIONS

Our Welfare team would be grateful for any uniform donations. If you have any spare uniforms that are no longer needed, please feel free to drop items into the Admin Office.

SCHOOL PHOTOS

Dear Parents and Guardians,

 

School Photo Day is next Monday (10th Feb)! There will be a catch up day scheduled for the morning of the 17th of Feb.To order your child’s school photos, please follow these steps:

  1. Visit www.leadingimage.com.au

  2. Click on Order Your School Photos

  3. Enter the access key: GR7AHH9D

Both individual and family photos can be ordered using the same access key.

 

Please note - Family photographs must be ordered before 4:30 PM the night before photo day, so be sure to place your order in time.

 

This year Leading Image are offering free value family photos! You will still be able to order other family packs if you wish.

AD-HOC Bus Travel

Students wishing to travel on country buses on an ad hoc basis e.g. for football or netball training, need to complete an ad hoc bus application each year. Applications may be approved if there is room on the bus involved. Please collect an application from your school office and complete. They can be returned to your school office or: buses@horsham-college.vic.edu.au

 

Please include your email on the form so you can be contacted regarding outcome.

Country Buses

A reminder that all country bus travellers need to apply and accept offers on the School Bus Management System:

 https://studenttravelassistance.educationapps.vic.gov.au/

 

If your term 1 offer has lapsed on the system you can renew your application.

Conveyance Allowance

If your student is eligible for conveyance allowance please obtain an application form from the Admin Office.

 

If you have been receiving the allowance in 2024 you do not need to complete another application.

 

Eligibility

An application on behalf of a student may be submitted if the student is:

  • a Victorian resident;

  • school aged and enrolled (3) three or more days per week at a school; and

  • attending a school/campus located outside the Melbourne metropolitan conveyance boundary

  • A student who meets the above requirements may be eligible if they:

  • attend their nearest or designated neighbourhood government school/campus appropriate to their year level, at which admission is permissible, or

  • attend their nearest appropriate non-government school/campus appropriate to their year level, at which admission is permissible, and

  • reside 4.8km or more by the shortest practicable route from the campus attended
