We welcome back all students, staff, parents and guardians to Horsham College in 2025.
On Wednesday 29th we welcomed our year 7 students starting their schooling journey with Horsham College with a range of activities through our induction bootcamp. This gave students the opportunity to work with IT, get their locker and understand where their classes would be for 2025.
We also welcomed back our year 12 class of 2025.They were given a run down of expectations before having the opportunity to be a part of a study session provided by Elevate. This gave students all the tools they will need to support them through the year.
Thursday 30th saw all students return to Horsham College and the place was electric with anticipation and excitement.
Uniform
A reminder that Horsham College has an expectation that all students are in uniform. If students have outgrown their uniform or families have fallen on tough times can you please communicate to the year levels teams for support. If your child is out of uniform they will need a note from home to take to year level coordinators to gain a blue pass.
Hats
In Term 1 and Term 4 it is school policy that we adhere to sunsmart guidelines to protect your child from the harsh UV rays. All students are expected to wear a hat or sit in the shade. Failure to do so may result in a consequence. If your child has lost their hat, one can be purchased at the front office.
Swimming Sports
The swimming sports are fast approaching. If your child is interested in participating in the swimming sports they will need to register their interest. SEQTA direct messages have been sent out. A reminder to students that the swimming carnival is a normal school day. Therefore students are reminded that they will need to wear their hats, phones are not able to be used and students will not be permitted to leave the pool until they are dismissed at the end of the day.
Parents are reminded to please not bring external food or make any attempts to take other students home if they choose to leave.
School Photos
School photos will be taken Monday February 10th. Information has been sent out for families and we ask that all students are in the correct school uniform.
