Smile Squad

This term we will welcome Smile Squad to Charlton College. This is a fantastic opportunity for all families to access free dental services. Below is the link to a QR code for families to fill in a consent form for their child/ren to access this service. Paper copies are also available at the front office. If you would like any assistance in completing the consent form, please don’t hesitate to contact Jess or Tash.

How to access free dental care

We need your consent before we can provide services. Consent is usually provided by a

parent or guardian.

Sign up to Smile Squad at: https://bit.ly/smilesquadvic

OR use the below QR code.

Do I need to attend my child’s appointment?

No, you do not need to attend your child’s appointment. You can attend if you would like to, and you can take your child to the community dental clinic if you prefer.

Appointments can be arranged before or after school should this be more convenient.

Please keep your phone handy during the Smile Squad visit should the Team need to contact you regarding your child during their visit.

If you would like any further information, please contact Jess McGurk at the College.

Breakfast Club

We’d also like to take the time to remind families of the Breakfast Club Program that runs twice a week. On Wednesday and Friday mornings in the canteen Danielle and Tash have on offer toast, fruit, milos and on Friday’s Danielle’s speciality jaffles along with fruit and milo. Breakfast Club is open from 8:30am.

The Wellbeing Space

We’ve had lots of visitors joining us at lunchtimes in the Wellbeing Room which is fantastic to see. We are fortunate enough to have recently begun ‘Guitar Club’ for select primary students. Many thanks to Year 12 student, Fletcher who is giving his time and expertise to run these sessions. We hope over time that many more students have the opportunity to be part of this program. We look forward to sharing the boys newly acquired skills.

R U Ok? Day

This Thursday 12th of September across the country we celebrate and bring awareness to R U Ok? Day.  R U Ok? Day- our National Day of Action when Australians are reminded that every day is the day to ask, 'are you OK?’

The aim of R U Ok? Day is to guide people on when & how to have a meaningful conversation with someone in their world who might be struggling.
