Year 6 PYP Exhibition: Taking Action for Our Planet

Last week, our Year 6 students proudly presented their PYP Exhibition, focusing on the theme Living organisms may be affected by environmental changes. They explored critical global issues such as ocean acidification, desertification, melting ice caps, climate change, sustainable farming, and natural disasters.

As part of their learning, students have planned to take meaningful action. They have organised a Clean-Up Day at Kingston Beach to tackle plastic pollution, and are helping restore native vegetation in Kinder Kingdom, and they even built a chicken coop to explore sustainable farming practices.

The exhibition featured interactive models, artwork and quizzes that showcased their understanding of these issues and their commitment to protecting the environment. A special thanks goes to the entire Primary Years team, and the group mentors for their support and guidance throughout the process.

Year 3 Camp at The Lea

Year 3 students returned from their first school camp experience at The Lea last week.

Students engaged in a range of fun, team building activities over the course of the two days. Speaking with students they particularly enjoyed ‘cubby building’, night games, the campfire and archery! The students did an amazing job, and I was impressed with their maturity and enthusiasm.
