Plant sale with music

Come and join us at the Rain Moth Community Nursery sale, 10 - 11.30am, Sunday 26 April in the community garden at Newlands Neighbourhood House (or inside if the weather dictates). The sale will be CASH ONLY

DJ Abantiades will play some low-key disco/funk/house/electronic tunes to soundtrack the morning in the garden. We will have a great range of seedlings for your autumn/winter edible garden, indigenous plants for the start of the planting season and beneficial flowers, all for only a gold coin each.

A small selection of the plants we have include:

  • Turmeric, parsley, dill, coriander, chervil and Vietnamese mint
  • Snow peas, peas and broad beans
  • Broccolini, beetroot and celery
  • Lots of leafy greens - rocket, corn salad, silverbeet, spinach and lettuces
  • Aquilegias, hollyhocks and sweet peas
  • Windmill grass, native orchids, murnongs, bulbine lilies, swamp daisies, native flax, clematis
  • Wattles (both shrubs and trees), golden tips, bottlebrushes, sheoaks and lots more...

Newlands Neighbourhood House is at 20 Murray Rd, Coburg North, and can be accessed from the 526 and 527 buses (1 min walk), No. 11 tram (8 min walk) or No. 1 tram (13 min walk). It is also very close to the Merri Creek bike trail.

We look forward to seeing you there.

Grow plants with us

We are looking for more volunteer growers to help us take care of plants at home and to join us at casual propagating sessions. Sign up here or email us to find out more.

Pots

We love our pots! If you bought things from us at our last sale please return the pots to us. We are also happy to accept donations of half-sized forestry tubes, small succulent pots, forestry tube crates and nursery trays. At this stage we do not want other types of pots, thanks.
