The Brass Soiree

Last Tuesday, VSC was able to host our regular Term 1 showcase of brass students. 

The Brass Soiree was held in the music centre to an intimate, warm and enthusiastic audience whilst our brass students, directed by Mr. McGuffie and Ms. Barkla, performed some of the pieces they've been working on so far this year. 

There were some excellent renditions of very familiar pieces including a Trombone solo of 'The Phantom of the Opera' from Caleb K as well as some great first performances from some of our year 7s. 

The night was capped off with a lively performance from the VSC Stage Band. 

Huge thanks to Ms. Barkla and Mr. McGuffie for all their work so far and to all the parents and friends who came along to support the event.
