St Mary's Community Care
Care Meals
Collectively as a staff whilst learning about wellbeing, we were offered insights into how small actions of kindness contribute not only to the recipient but to the person giving. Research suggests that acts of kindness and generosity of spirit like our care meal initiative, can have a great and positive impact on the wellbeing of the giver. Including improvements to one’s mood, satisfaction in life, overall happiness and giving one a sense of fulfillment and purpose. Furthermore putting our faith in action, aligning with our Catholic Identity and reinforcing the connection between our spirituality and charism of our school community.
Thank you especially to Linda Tubb who donated her time and everything in between, in producing 12 care meals, an amazing effort & contribution to our school community! Also when discussing our faith in action this Lent, some Year 4 learners wanted to contribute! How inspiring! Thanks Denzel Grove & Sian Weeks. If you too would like to spread some joy in making a care meal please email hmorris@smechuca.catholic.edu.au and some foil trays to fill, could come home with your learner.
