School Advisory Council

SAC Meeting Summary - Wednesday 13th March    

We are very happy to have some new faces as part of the SAC committee: Fr Angelo, Assunta Galbraith, Jessie Hower, Jessie Schmitt and a new secretary Nicole Daniher.

SAC meetings run over a long list of subjects and as a summary we set goals for the year which are to have a parent voice/perspective, school improvements, work on parish school connections and increase family engagement, The Principal’s report for most of the term which detailed school wide improvement forum, learning focus on writing and mathematics, school improvement plan, upgraded web page with school virtual tour. Start - Up Program with focus on Social, Emotional Learning Personal and Interpersonal Capabilities. Religious dimension and school community interaction was broached.

Next term canteen will resume with same emphasis to make Year 6 students responsible for running it from preparing food a day before to running it on every second Friday it is a fun way of utilising practical math skills.

SAC committee welcomes parents to reach out to us we would love to expand on issues discussed and to be a voice for parents.
