ASSISTANT PRINCIPALS’ REPORT

ASSISTANT PRINCIPALS

Ryan Mills   Bradley Headlam   Sarah Bridges

It is fast approaching the end of Term 1 and we would like to take this opportunity to thank families and the school community for supporting us during a very busy term. It has been a really positive start to the school year with students participating in Athletics Day, Harmony Day, Pako Street Multicultural Festival, NAPLAN, Open Night, Be Bold Be Heard Forum and International Women’s Day. This is all underpinned by the learning in our classrooms.

Progress Reports

Students have been provided with two progress reports and this will form the basis for robust discussions in parent-teacher conferences. Students are encouraged to celebrate their progress with families and set goals for the upcoming term. Students who were outstanding in their progress reports have been acknowledged in the sub school assemblies and on Compass.

Students in the Senior Years Program have been working towards end of semester Assessment Tasks and the successful completion of units.

NAPLAN

NAPLAN for Year 7 and 9 students is now complete and results will be provided to school and parents later in the year. Students are to be commended for their effort and attitude towards this test.

Sports

Many students have participated in inter-school sports, baseball, tennis and volleyball and

enjoyed the challenge of competition. Many long-held records were broken at Athletics Day and the costumes were vibrant and imaginative.

School Photographs

School photographs are being taken on 22 April. Catch ups will be on 29th April.  ALL photos are to be ordered through Compass. There will be an information email and guide available on Compass. Please pre-order sibling photographs.

All students are required to be in full academic uniform. If students have PE/sports they will need to bring their sports uniform to change into.

Have a safe school holiday. See you Term 2, beginning 15th April.
