The Sound of Music 

“The halls are alive” with The Sound of Music! 

 

Monday 17th May will be our final afterschool rehearsal for the term for our Chorus’ due to our Ensemble Concert on the 24th June. We will celebrate everyone’s progress with a “show and tell’ of the two numbers the Year 7 chorus have been learning: The Lonely Goatherd (Thanks to Elodie Mumme, our student choreographer) and The Sound of Music (thanks to our student choreographers Siobhan Dockray and Erin Hardaker) and our Servant Ensemble, who, along  with the Von Trapp Children, have been learning choreography to “Do Re Mi”. Thanks to Brooke Marsland, our student choreographer. 

 

Tuesday Lunchtimes 

Thanks to Siobhan Judge for working with our specialist dancers, choreographing The Landler dance. 

 

Thursdays afterschool. 

Our cast is progressing well and it is exciting to see scenes being brought to life! Thanks to Ellyce Calder for their work with our Specialist Singers/Nuns who are sounding beautiful. 

 

Orchestra. 

Our orchestra has learnt all the songs so now they are rehearsing with our soloists! Thank to Tony Hicks, our Musical Director. 

 

Sneak Peek- Monday 17th June @ lunchtime. 

We are looking forward to giving local Primary Schools a sneak peek of some of our musical numbers for The Sound of Music by our Von Trapp family.
