Principal's Report

Dear Parents and Carers,

Winter Solstice

The Winter Solstice event at Macedon Primary School was truly a fantastic community gathering. It was evident why this event holds such significance for our school.

We were blessed with fantastic weather and a full moon that added a magical touch to the evening. One of the highlights was the Art Exhibition, where we celebrated the incredible work our students are creating in Visual Art. It was exciting to see so many families come together to appreciate the talent and creativity of our young artists.

The students had an amazing time, enjoying various activities throughout the night. Everyone savoured the delicious soup and sweet snacks that were served, while the barbecue sausages were a big hit. The bonfire added to the excitement and kept everyone warm as the night went on.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to the over 20 volunteers who helped make this event a success. From cooking sausages to monitoring the fire and serving soups and desserts, your efforts were greatly appreciated. We also extend our gratitude to the families who donated baked goods, adding a sweet touch to the evening.

In particular, we would like to thank Deb Fiori and Andrea Boudville for their outstanding work in organising the event. Your dedication and hard work ensured a memorable night for everyone involved.

Thank you to everyone who attended and made the Winter Solstice celebration at Macedon Primary School a night to remember.

Semester One Reports Delay

We would like to notify families that reports will not be available today due to unforeseen circumstances. Semester One reports will now be available vis XUNO on Thursday the 27th of June. We apologise for any inconvenience.

Koala Fundraiser

Last week, to conclude the grade 1/2 Inquiry unit on koalas, students were invited to bring their favourite soft toy to school for a gold coin donation. It was wonderful to see so many students participate, each bringing in their beloved stuffed friends.

The enthusiasm didn't stop with the students—the office staff joined in the fun as well, with a giant black panther keeping a watchful eye over the office.

The event was a tremendous success, raising $508 for the Wildlings Woodend Wildlife Shelter. Thank you to everyone who participated and contributed to this worthy cause!

Voluntary Parent Payment

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the families who have generously contributed $230 as the Voluntary Parent Payment. Your support has significantly enriched our school and expanded the scope of programs we can provide. Historically, these contributions have empowered Macedon Primary School to offer diverse and enriching curriculum experiences to all our students. Additionally, they have facilitated the enhancement of classroom resources, particularly in our reading programs.

Furthermore, we invite and encourage voluntary contributions towards the improvement of our Building and Grounds, as well as for the enrichment of our Library.

If you have not yet had the opportunity to contribute and would like to do so, payments can be conveniently made through XUNO. For further details, please reach out to the office. Your continued support is deeply appreciated.

OSHC Survey

We're exploring the possibility of offering OSH Club on curriculum days next year, but we need your input to make an informed decision. Please take a moment to complete our short survey to help us gauge interest and viability. Your feedback is invaluable in shaping the future of our school community. Thank you for your participation! https://forms.gle/qPFzcRAG3iisi4dQ9
