It has certainly been a busy time across all the Grades in STEM. Students engaged with their learning tasks by applying their learned skills in assigned tasks.
Our preps have been on a chemical science learning journey, extending their understanding of properties of materials from boat-making to coat-designing, demonstrating their practical application of knowledge.
Grade One and Two students were surprised to discover that they could create their own online games on Code.org. They applied what they had learned about sequencing and events in an open-ended project with Play Lab to create their games.
Grade Three and Four students celebrated coding by designing, developing, improving and showcasing their coding projects on Code.org. It was evident Grade Five and Six students’ computational thinking, problem-solving skills and creativity in their digital stories, games, and animations on Scratch.
