Reconciliation Week

We engaged in a variety of different activities to acknowledge our traditional owners of the land. We discussed Sorry Day and the theme for this year’s Reconciliation Week of 'Now More Than Ever.' Over the next few literacy sessions, students will be reading and completing activities based on a range of Dreaming stories.

History

We have been creating some Little People Big Dreams books based on important people in our lives. It has been wonderful to learn a little bit more about our family members and record these events in a book. This activity has motivated many of us to create our own books on a wide range of topics.

Exploring Fractions

By folding paper into halves, quarters, eighths, and sixteenths we learn about fractions. It

has been great for our origami skills! We've also learnt about the importance of equal parts and how fractions are written with a numerator and denominator. A way to integrate fractions into learning at home is in the kitchen. Using measuring cups, spoons or jugs, explore fractions by baking. This is also a great way to see equivalence.
